- DRC Foster. Clover was listed on craiglist and needed assistance in finding a forever home. Doodles are such a fun loving breed and so many need help finding new forever homes.

Harper is not even 4 months old and in need of a new home. A BYB was going to take her to a kill shelter because she supposedly has a leak issue. She wouldn't of had a chance there. Miley is really starting to make progress. We have been using a 25 ft lead outside. Miley will now stop for you to pick it up, instead of running the other direction. Once you have the lead in hand she will start walking toward you. Miley will walk along with you loose leashed, instead of pulling away from you. If Miley thinks we're going inside she will pull going toward the house. If you are sitting on the steps outside or in the grass she will come up to you on her own, sniff, touch…

Miley joined us on August 6th severely underweight, scared to death and only 9 months old. During the first 8 months of her life Miley received little to no socialization or training which makes everything seem so much scarier.

Kathy Janes said… - There must be a labrador retriever rescue there; I know Love of Labs is HUGE here and in Kentucky. Last thing anyone would want would be for them to go to a BYB. If you don't find a rescue there, let me know and I can get in touch with ours here and perhaps you can take them just long enough to get them transported to a safe lab foster home. With Miley, that's really the very last thing you need, yet how can you say no? Oh, crazy, yes. I would be so torn!

- I'm glad to hear that Leigh was so pleased with DRC that her mom adopted too. Sad to hear that cubby has hip issues though. Leigh and her family are awesome people. Her mom will love and care for Cubby well, I'm sure. Good to hear! I was so happy to see the picture of the girls and Cash. Very dear to my heart - one foster I didn't cry over as the placement was so so right!

Leah said… Thank you Tina! I just learned about doodle rescue collective today. We've been looking for another doodle to join our family and saw Callie today. We put an application in to adopt her, we"ll see how it goes. Gus loves to play with other dogs in our neighborhood and is so sad when they leave. I've always wanted another doodle, too. What a great thing you're doing , being a foster Mom!
