Rocky, my foster dog went to his new forever home on Sunday 2/27/11. He was such a sweet fellow, and why anyone said he was agressive is beyond me! He was rescued from a kill shelter in Southeast VA ( where we got Benson aka Charlie). He is a black…Continue

Typo in my comment.  There should have been 2 "P's" in application.  Sorry.

We're still hoping to get positive news about Sadie (NY).  She would have a wonderful and loving home with us.  We appreciate every consideration given to our aplication.  Thanks.

Questions about applications are best addressed through the rescue email adoption@doodlerescuecollectiveinc.org

Only those applicants who are the best matches for any given dog are contacted. Please read our Policies and Procedures under the About DRC tab at the top of the page in the blue area, to see our adoption qualifications.

When a dog is marked "Pending", that means that we have already chosen his/her home. We would never do that without having contacted and interviewed the adopter, and done a home visit.

Hi, Group. I put an application in originally for Peaches in Texas. There were other adorable Doodles in our area which I added to our list of possible adoptables. One of these dogs may be available to us but we've not heard about the possibility of adopting our original request for Peaches. I do not know the protocol, and I do not want to abort the application process for Peaches if the "Pending" on her page reflects our application is still being processed? How can we find out the status of our original application, as we have been given the possible opportunity of adopting Leah. Please advise. Thanks.

We also have applied for a doodle and we do meet all the requirements.   So good to know  that we don't have to apply when we see a doodle that interests us. We are in southwest Virginia so keep checking for adoptable ones in NC and VA.

Very cute Sue! We actually did do that for our guy McDougal (aka Micky) - got him in Ontario as he was a 'leftover' of a litter. It was 11 hours and we did the drive (round trip) in two days with blizzard conditions. Trust me, I've considered driving to Ohio, to Illinois, etc. to get a rescue dog...if we were to do that we'd have to bring Micky and he'd be the one fussing about 13 hours in a car as we'd want him to meet 'the new kid...' Will DEFINITELY keep in touch...and yes, have looked at the Doodles in Need (along with Poomixrescue). Have a great rest of your weekend! Terese
